14-Year-Old Miles Cook Claims Mutliple Accolades
November 7, 2019
- Miles Cook enjoyed a great rookie season in the Sport Mod in his Shaw Race Car. The 14-year-old racer claimed the Track Championship at New Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) and also was awarded with the Rookie of the Year honor at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio).

November 4, 2019 - Congratulations to Florida's Jason Garver for scoring another big win in in his Shaw Race Car over the weekend. His latest conquest came on Sunday afternoon during the E-Mod portion of the 45th annual National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama).

1Seth Geary Races to VSP Victory Lane
October 12, 2019 - Seth Geary raced his Shaw Race Car No. 7g to the UMP Modified victory on Saturday evening at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida).

Congratulations to Shaw Race Cars client, Dan Kingsley for claiming the 2019 Wissota Modified Rookie of the Year Award.

Dennis Gathright added a weekend win in his Shaw Race Car at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).



1Riddle Clinches Durrence Layne National Title
October 7, 2019 - Alabama's Luke Riddle led the Shaw Race Cars charge over the weekend by clinching the 2019 Durrence Layne Sportsman Mod National Championship.

Jarrett Young raced to his second win of his rookie campaign on Friday night. He picked up the triumph at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) in the Great Lakes 50 special.

Shaw Race Cars client, Nate Young increased his 2019-win tally to five with a weekend win at Michael's Mercer Raceway (Mercer, Pennsylvania).

Meanwhile, Kyle Miller won the Modified Championship at both Eriez Speedway (Erie, Pennsylvania) and Ohio's Raceway 7 in his Shaw Race Car Modified.

12-year-old Nick Snell charged to his third win of the season in Shaw Race Car at Kentucky's Florence Speedway.

Wade Lumsden claimed three wins en route to the Modified Track Championship at Rattlesnake Raceway (Fallon, Nevada). Kanyan Methvin picked up the Len West Memorial win at North Central Arkansas Speedway (Flippin, Arkansas).

1Ryan Toole Claims Halifax Track Championship
September 30, 2019 - Ryan Toole clinched the 2019 Modified Track Championship at North Carolina's Halifax County Motor Speedway over the weekend in his Shaw Race Car.

Adam Maple picked up the feature win on Saturday night at Crowley's Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas).

Buzzy Adams continued his late-season, hot streak with a victory in the Red Clay Classic at Wisconsin's ABC Raceway.

Trevor Fitz recently clinched the 2019 IMCA California State Championship.

1Joey Miller Masters Golden Isles Speedway
September 22, 2019 - Joey Miller raced to the feature win on Saturday night at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) in his Shaw Race Car.

Jeff Taylor picked up a $3,000 win on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in the Ron Ghormley Memorial.

Dennis Simunovich won at California's Ocean Speedway, while Darin Obenchain emerged victorious at Kentucky's Cedar Ridge Speedway.

Buzzy Adams topped the Modified portion of the annual Punky Manor Challenge at Red Cedar Speedway (Menomonie, Wisconsin).

Randal Schiffelbein Jr. picked up his first win of 2019 with a triumph over the weekend at Kansas' Lakeside Speedway, while D.J. Klein raced to a win at Ohio's Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) and the Modified Track Championship at Millersburg Speedway

More wins were claimed over the weekend by Jason Garver, Luke Krogh, Andrew Hennessy and Vance Ball.

Ty Shearon Streaks To Win No. 4
September 15, 2019 - Ty Shearon picked up the feature win on Saturday night at Tennessee's Clarksville Speedway in his Shaw Race Car.

Nate Young rumbled to his fourth win of 2019 on Saturday night with a triumph in the September Shootout at Ohio's Raceway 7 in his Shaw Race Car.

Kevin Smith clinched the 2019 Modified Track Championship at Skagit Speedway (Skagit, Washington) Track Championship.

Meanwhile Bobby Jones locked down his seventh win of the season over the weekend at North Carolina's 311 Motor Speedway.

Drake Troutman added a weekend win in the Kevin Vanhorn Racing No. 00 at Greater Cumberland Speedway (Cumberland, Maryland). Additional wins were claimed by Nick Snell, Brandon Smith, Stan Beadles, and Adam Maple, Gary Krebs, and Brody Crowe.

September 8, 2019 - Bobby Jones picked up the $1,000 win on Saturday night at North Carolina's 311 Motor Speedway in his Shaw Race Car.

David Colyer Jr. dominated the action at Kentucky's Cedar Ridge Speedway in his Shaw Race Car to claim his fifth win of the season.

Ty Shearon conqured the Modified action at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) for his third victory of the 2019 campaign on Saturday night in his Shaw Race Car.

Additional weekend wins were scored by Justin Radcliff, Daniel Harris, Darin Scott Obenchain, Vance Ball, Luke Riddle, Eric Snell, Chase Holland, Cody Wall, and Andrew Hennessy.

1Nate Young Leads Shaw Race Cars Labor Day Charge
September 3, 2019 - The extended Labor Day weekend was an extremely busy time for Shaw Race Cars clients. Nate Young led the way with his third win of the 2019 campaign, which came at Pennsylvania's Eriez Speedway.

Chad Williams piloted the Dennis Gathright Racing Shaw Race Cars Modified to the feature win on Saturday night at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).

Rick Delaine picked up his seventh point's championship over the weekend at Minnesota's Greenbush Race Park.

Buzzy Adams "buzzed" to a pair of wins over the weekend with triumphs in both his Modified and B-Mod at Rice Lake Speeday. With 16 wins on the season, he's now also the 2019 Rice Lake (Wisconsin) Speedway Track Champion in both the Modified and B-Mod ranks.

Other weekend winners included Jeff Taylor, Ashton Wilkey, Mikey Bell, Jeff Waller, Gary Hill, Grey Ferrano, Darin Obenchain, Stan Beadles and Kadden Kath.

1Dennis Simunovich Jr. Tops Johnny Key Classic
August 26, 2019 - Dennis Simunovich Jr. recently piloted his Shaw Race Car to the Johnny Key Classic win at Ocean Speedway (Watsonville, California).

Picking up his second triumph of the season, Ty Shearon raced to the Modified victory at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee).

Kyle Miller enjoyed a stellar weekend in his Shaw Race Car. He swept weekend action at Ohio's Raceway and Pennsylvania's Eriez Speedway. With the win at Eriez Speedway he claimed the 2019 Econo-Mod Track Championship. He now has 12 wins on the season.

Rick Smith streaked to to his first feature win at Washington's Skagit Speedway.

1Jeff Taylor Doubles Down in Weekend Action
August 18, 2019 - Sweeping the Modified action on both Friday and Saturday night, Jeff Taylor showed the fans and competitors at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) how fast these new Shaw Race Cars truly are. Each win, which was held during the COMP Cams Topless 100, rewarded the Arkansas racer with a $1,000 payday.

Mikey Bell opened the weekend at the 3/8-mile oval with a $1,000 win.

Greg Pfeiffer Jr. picked up the feature win at Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota).

Daniel Harris, David McKay, Luke Riddle, Josh Fields, Adam Birck, Josh Sanford, Dan Kingsley and Jake Donnaley added weekend wins.

August 12, 2019 - Bobby Jones picked up his fifth win of 2019 on Saturday night in Shaw Race Car at North Carolina's 311 Motor Speedway.

Jason Miles picked up his third win of 2019 over the weekend at Arkansas' Diamond Park Speedway.

Meanwhile, Kevin Smith repeated in Victory Lane on Saturday nigth at Skagit Speedway (Alger, Washington).


David Colyer picked up his fourth win of 2019 on Saturday night at Kentucky's Cedar Ridge Speedway.

Kelsie Foley picked up her fourth win on Saturday night with a triumph at New Mexico's Aztec Speedway, while Austen Becerra picked up his 11th win of 2019 with a triumph at Quincy Raceways (Quincy, Illinois).

Dan West Jr. picked up the Saturday night win in the Randy Ward Racing Shaw Race Car at Washington's Gray's Harbor Raceway. Additional weekend wins were claimed by Daniel Harris, Stan Beadles, Andrew Hennessy, Riley Simmons, Don Sautter, Tony Olson, and Kanyan Methvin.

August 5, 2019 - Saturday night found Ty Shearon streaking to his first victory of the 2019 campaign in his Shaw Race Car. The maiden trip to Victory Lane came at Tennessee's Clarksville Speedway.

Kevin Smith picked up another feature win on Saturday night with a victory in the Washington Modified Challenge at Skagit Speedway (Alger, Washington).

Kyle Miller pushed his 2019-win tally to 10 over the weekend with triumphs at Ohio's Raceway 7 and Pennsylvania's Eriez Speedway.

Jeff Taylor visited Victory Lane for the second-straight week with a triumph on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas).

July 29, 2019 - Jeff Taylor led the weekend winner's list for Shaw Race Cars with a victory in his familiar No. 5 during the annual Ed Jordan Memorial at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

David McCay raced his Shaw Car to another victory on Saturday night with a triumph at Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas).

Trevor Fitz has now amassed four wins and leads the IMCA California standings.

Chris Steele picked up the Saturday night win in his Shaw Race Car at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina).

1Larry Shaw Race Cars Purchased By Mosley Family
Legendary Company Renamed as Shaw Race Cars
Batesville, Arkansas (07/23/19) – Scott and Marlene Mosley, in partnership with Jeff Taylor, took over the ownership and operation of Larry Shaw Racing on July 1, 2019. With their acquisition they renamed the company, Shaw Race Cars.

“We’ve met many great people throughout the last ten years of racing,” Scott Mosley noted. “When this incredible opportunity came along, allowing us to be more involved in the racing community, we couldn’t pass it up. We’re now just a few weeks into owning the company, but we are already loving every minute of it. Larry [Shaw] built an amazing repertoire of great racers and working hand-in-hand with them to help them reach their goals is a great feeling.”

July 21, 2019 - Seth Geary piloted his Shaw Race Car No. 7g to the win in the coveted Powell Memorial on Saturday evening at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida).

Scott Styskal has now rolled to three victories in 2019 in his Shaw Race Car.

Additional weekend wins were claimed by Gary Hill, Austin Charles, Emory Wells, Justin Radcliff, Riley Simmons, Jason Froeming, Calvin Iverson, Luke Krough, Jake Donnelly, Scott Crites and Todd Gomez.

- While a majority of the country battled rain over the weekend, some Shaw Race Cars clients got to race. Bobby Jones led the way with his fourth win of the year, which came at North Carolina's 311 Motor Speedway.

Austin Carnley raced to the feature win at Texarkana 67 Speedway.

Cody Acklin picked up the Modified feature win at North Central Arkansas Speedway.

- The extended holiday weekend was a successful time for Shaw Race Cars clients as our drivers scored wins across North America. Ricky Alvarado led the charge with a victory at Wyoming's Sweetwater Speedway.

Calvin Iverson bagged a pair of wins and was joined on the weekend winner's list by Emory Wells, Kevin Smith, Luke Riddle, Scott Crites, Darren Obenchain, Jeffrey Abbey, Richie Tosh, Riley Simmons, Greg Johnson, Austin Becerra, Jarett Young and Dennis Lunger.

Greg Friestad topped the action at Red River Valley Speedway (West Fargo, North Dakota), while Jamie Davis pocketed $1,500 for his Great Lakes Border Battle win at Gondik Law Speedway (Superior, Wisconsin)

Additional weekend winners including Ricky Alvarado, Robby Rosselli, Darren Shaw, Chad Clancy, Kyle Miller, Justin Radcliff and Owen Steinkoenig.

Shaw Is Switching Lanes
1Batesville, Arkansas (07/01/19) - After more than 40 years in the racing business Larry and Cheryl Shaw have decided that it’s time to switch lanes.

“Because I don’t like the word ‘retiring,’ I prefer to say that we are switching lanes,” Larry Shaw said.

Mosley Racing, Inc., headed by Scott and Marlene Mosley, officially took over operation of Larry Shaw Race Cars, effective July 1, 2019. The husband-and-wife duo will be joined by partner Jeff Taylor in leading Shaw Race Cars moving forward.

Larry and Cheryl will now be taking their extra time to pursue their long-time interests in travel, classic cars, writing their book, their cattle farm, and spending time with family.

“The same employees that have served you in the past will continue to do so,” Larry Shaw continued. “Please continue to contact Shaw Race Cars at the same phone number, fax number, email, website, shipping and mailing address.”

Scott and Marlene Mosley look forward to leading Shaw Race Cars into the next era.

“Marlene and I are looking forward to continuing Larry Shaw’s legacy and meeting our racers,” said Scott Mosley. “We hope that Larry and Cheryl enjoy their time in this new lane.”
